EUROPEN and the Single Market’s 30th anniversary

For the last thirty years, the Single Market has been the engine of the European Union, allowing companies and citizens to move and operate freely across EU borders. It has sought to remove barriers to doing business and has made it possible for countless companies to expand beyond their home country into truly pan-European enterprises. It has also created opportunities to scale-up investments to support innovation, accelerating the transition to a Circular Economy.

To mark the 30th anniversary of the Single Market, EUROPEN has teamed up with JA Europe, the leading international NGO providing entrepreneurship education programs to students, to launch the first edition of the EUROPEN Market Expansion Award. This award recognises a Start-Up team that has succeeded in identifying and seizing the opportunities offered by the Single Market to operate its business across different markets in Europe.

The winners of the competition have been announced and introduced during an award ceremony on the 7th of June 2023, followed by a cocktail reception to celebrate EUROPEN turning thirty.
